Also, install 50 bird perches per hectare.	• Remove and destroy the alternate host plants of Helicoverpa armigera such as Kolashi, wild okra, and Petari at regular intervals. • Conservation of beneficial insects. • Spray 5% NSKE or Azadirachtin 300 ppm @ 50 ml or Bacillus thuringiensis Kurstaki strain @ 15 gm per 10 liters of water. • If eggs and early larval stages are observed, spray HaNPV virus @ 250 to 500 ml mixed in 500 liters of water for per hectare. • Install 5 pheromone traps per hectare for monitoring Helicoverpa armigera. The pheromone traps should be placed in such a way that the trap’s male attractant stays at least one foot higher than the height of the plants. The moths collected in the traps should be gathered and destroyed. • Install 50 bird perches per hectare.
